Tetrisweeper v1.1


Hello everyone! First of all, I want to give a big thanks to everyone who has taken the time to play this unholy abomination of a puzzle game; it warms my heart that so many people have found joy staring down the face of madness. With the interest interest drummed up by Icely Puzzles (whose video is now linked on the game's home page), I thought I'd take the opportunity to make an update with a number of the community-requested changes, as well as some ideas of my own. This update includes bug fixes, QoL updates, and a few extra bells and whistles that should make Tetrisweeper more fun and easier to pick up and play. 

Another big thanks to everyone who has given feedback or reported the bugs they've come across!

Features:

  • Playable tiles now spawn on the edges of the tetris board. The edges can give you additional information about new tetrominoes, but you'll need to reveal them first!
  • The game now tracks your score, based on the original NES scoring system.
    • 1 Line: 40 Points
    • 2 Lines: 100 Points
    • 3 Lines: 300 Points 
    • 4 Lines: 1,200 Points
    • Tile Revealed: 5 Points
    • Flagged Mine Cleared: 50 Points
    • Tile Cleared: 1 Point per adjacent mine
    • Soft Drop: 1 point per Cell
  • You can now see a preview for the number of unflagged mines remaining. Keep an eye out, because this counter can tell you how many mines are hidden within a newly-spawned tetromino!
  • Mines are now more spread out among each tetromino.
  • When you score a Tetris (Filling 4 Rows at once), the next Tetromino to spawn will have no mines and will be automatically revealed. This can help you out if you're getting stuck on clearing mines!
  • You can now Hold a tetromino to use later. This will preserve any revealed or flagged tiles.
  • You can now see a preview of the next tetromino to be spawned.
  • Delayed Auto Shift; Hold Left or Right to keep moving in one direction.
  • Simple Wall Kicks have been added to the tetrominoes.

Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed a bug causing the tetromino spawner to stop working when the current tetromino is completed before the next tetromino is spawned.
  • Fixed bug causing I tetronimos to not detect when the game has ended.
  • Fixed a bug causing the I Tetromino to not conform to Tetris's Standard Rotation System.
  • Volume has been adjusted to be a bit more reasonable on the ears.
  • A dozen other minor bugs squashed.
  • Two dozen more bugs introduced.
