Tetrisweeper v1.8.5


Gameplay Changes:

  • Removes the 595 bonus points for getting a tetrisweep, and reduced the amount of multiplier recieved by 5%. The scoring sheet now reflects the amount of points given by the tetrisweep in one line, instead of split between "Linesweep x4" and "Tetrisweep".
  • x1.5 Back-to-back difficult clear bonus for Tetrisweeps/Tspinsweeps now applies to their linesweep points, instead of just their 595 bonus.
  • The game is now more lenient, attempting to clear any solved rows before causing a topped-out game over.

Handling

  • Adds the ability to set a custom DAS (Delayed Auto Shift), ARR (Auto Repeat Rate), DCD (DAS Cut Delay), and SDF (Soft Drop Factor).
  • DAS activation delay will now carry over between tetrominoes; you have to wait for DAS to activate on every piece
  • Holding down soft drop will now transfer over between tetrominoes

Visual & Sound Effects

  • The screen will now spin when you get a Tspin! It spins in the same direction as your Tspin, and the strength scales with the number of lines filled.
  • Held piece is grayed out slightly when Hold is unavailable.
  • Revealed tiles are never dimmed by lock delay overlay.
  • If you click on a mine, it will show the original red background instead of an X
  • When the game ends, the game no longer reveals all tiles. Only a clicked mine and incorrectly flagged tiles will be revealed.
  • Adds better support for resolutions other than 16x9.
  • Adds a Tetromino lock sound, with variants for the final lock-reset lock, and a warning sound when locking partially off screen.
  • Rebalances line clear sound effects so it's easier to hear the Tetrisweep sound.
  • Adds a larger settings menu with organized tabs.

Localization

  • Adds a Spanish (Spain) localization, translated for us by Carlos Hugo García Maldonado (H3NZPLAYZ).
  • Adds German translation.

Credits

  • Adds an *actual* credits screen before the credits game mode, since there are now other people helping with the project that need to be credited for their work!
  • The Tetrisweeper Supporters who have donated to the development of the game have been added to the credits. If you have left me a tip on Itch but don't see your name here, check your email! Everyone who contributes any amount before the game's official Steam launch is eligible to have their name added to this list.
  • The title in Credits mode will fall off the screen when you hard drop or when a line is cleared.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed bug causing buttons in the Control Rebind menu to prevent you from scrolling when hovered
  • Fixed a bug causing game mode names to not wrap and get cut off the screen
  • Fixed a bug causing tetrominos to spawn one row lower than they should.
  • Fixed bug where sound files were too small for webGL builds to read them.
  • Fixed bug where Locked! text would not be localized.
  • Fixed a bug causing it to be possible to play an enless 40L sprint.
  • Fixed a bug causing numbers to appear above overlay text shadow.
  • Fixed bug causing version number to be two sizes too large.
  • Removes Cleanse hotkey from the rebind menu... because it doesn't do anything anymore.
  • Fixed a bug causing held tetrominoes to fall at the speed of the level they first spawed, instead of the current level.
  • Minor optimizations.
