˙uʍop ǝpısdn ɯ,ı 'ǝɯ dןǝɥ is an experimental game on several fronts. Design wise, this game is a fairly standard 2D platformer with 2 major caveats: Gravity falls up, and the further you progress the less you can see. You must make your way to the safety of solid ground as you navigate through this casadastraphobic nightmare.

Despite the odd premise, the biggest experiment in ˙uʍop ǝpısdn ɯ,ı 'ǝɯ dןǝɥ was with its production. This side project was put together in Construct 3, and was a chance for me -- a programmer -- to apply myself in some other disciplines of game development. Unlike many of my other projects where I often work with a team, I created all assets for this game myself. With this project I challenged myself to hand-draw pixel art, and even dipped my toe into ambient sound design. I also moved development for this project to Construct 3, a platform great for rapid prototyping, in order to force myself to place my focus away from programming and towards other disciplines of game development.

So while this may not be my best or most polished project, its development has helped me gain a better understanding of the workflow for the other disciplines.

(...and hopefully now my temporary programmer art will look a little bit nicer too!)

i'm not sure if you're still updating this, but i'm pretty sure the arrow keys don't work on chrome? or at least, i'm running chrome and the arrow keys don't work-

I don't know if anyone else is having a similar issue, but for some reason I am unable to interact with the game. It seems to be running, but using the arrow keys does not move the character. I have a pretty crappy laptop though, so that might be the issue.

it worked for me
